JA upped its record to 3-0 with Friday’s 49-23 triumph over Bellefontaine.
Alder led 12-3 by the end of the opening eight minutes of action.
The Pioneers took a 20-9 margin at halftime and a 36-16 spread into the fourth quarter.
Jonathan Alder hit 45% from the floor, while the Chieftains were an ice-cold 26% (seven-of-26).
Taber Headings led three Pioneers in double figures with 13 points.
Grant Welsch tallied 12 and Joey Walker finished with 11.
The Pioneers will travel to Westerville South on Tuesday.

Cardinals drop game
Triad’s boys basketball team took it on the chin with a 55-51 loss to West Jefferson.
The Cardinals (3-2 overall and 1-2 in the Ohio Heritage Conference) got off to a slow start.
West Jefferson took a 14-5 lead after the opening period.
Triad regrouped during the ensuing stanza.
Ayden Spriggs tallied half of his team-high 14 points as the Cardinals narrowed their deficit to 25-21 by halftime.
Spriggs added six more markers during the third quarter.
West Jefferson, though, took a 42-33 lead into the final period.
Kane Bailey tallied six of his eight points during the fourth stanza for Triad as the team fell just short.
The Cardinals lost despite holding an advantage at the charity stripe.
Triad hit 13-of-19 free throws, while the Rough Riders were five-of-16.
Triad will host West Liberty-Salem on Tuesday.

Monarchs fall
Marysville’s boys couldn’t get a great deal of offense going during a 64-31 setback at Dublin Jerome.
The Monarchs (1-2) trailed, 19-9, at the end of the first period and managed only four points during the second quarter.
The Celtics held a 33-13 spread at halftime and took a 52-24 lead into the final eight minutes of action.
MHS, which will host Delaware Hayes tonight, mustered only seven field goals, four of which came from beyond the three-point arc, for the evening.
Chase Adkins was the lone Monarch in double figures with 12 points.
