The search is on for a new head football coach at Jonathan Alder High School.
Pioneer boss Brett Glass announced this week he is leaving, pending board of education approval, to take over as the new head coach at Dublin Jerome.

The Jonathan Alder position has been posted as being open internally within the district.
This will give anyone already on the Jonathan Alder staff an opportunity to apply for the job.
“I believe the external (outside the district) posting will occur in a week,” said Jonathan Alder athletic director Mark Fenik.
The athletic director had nothing but praise for Glass.
“Brett has been our head football coach since 2014,” said Fenik. “He has compiled an impressive record with 58 wins and 17 losses.
“A total of five of his seven seasons have included playoff appearances with the last two regular season teams being undefeated,” he said.
The 2019 team advanced to the regional finals in the OHSAA playoffs.
“Brett has been a fantastic coach for Jonathan Alder and a terrific instructor in the classroom,” said Fenik. “He will definitely be missed, but we wish him continued success as he moves forward.”
Fenik said no timeline has been established for hiring Glass’ replacement.
“We are currently in the initial phase,” he said. “We will move as quickly as possible, but will be patient to find the best fit for our school, community and team.
“We want someone with integrity and passion who knows the game of football,” he said. “The new coach will also be someone we want to help make our student/athletes better people.”
