The Pioneers rolled to an 11-1 victory over Northwestern in a conference game and topped Heath 8-4.
Alder held a 3-1 lead over Northwestern through two innings and plated five runs in the visitors’ portion of the third.

Ashton Martin finished with three of Alder’s 10 hits and drove in a trio of runs.

The Lady Pioneers clubbed Northwestern, 11-2.
They followed by taking games from Urbana (18-2) and Graham (7-1).
Evan Platfoot had four hits in five trips to the plate against Northwestern. She finished with a pair of RBIs.
Natalie Neumeier went three-for-four and drove in a run.
Riley Magginis had two hits and a pair of ribbies.
Also hitting safely for Alder were Lucy Boyd, Kiersten Dolby, Anna Engle, Shanna Higgins and Grace Napier.
Alder tallied 14 hits and finished with two errors.
Alyssa Miller notched the win with six innings in the circle. She fanned eight and allowed only one hit. She also walked only one.
Macy Pruitt finished the game in relief.
The game against Urbana was shortened to five innings by the run rule.
The Lady Pioneers put all of their runs on the board over the first three innings.
Platfoot, Engle and Higgins each finished with a trio of Alder’s 16 hits.
Platfoot drove in four runs, while Engle and Higgins combined for six RBIs.
Pruitt pitched the first three innings and struck out three to pick up the win.
