Jonathan Alder’s football squad is represented by three athletes on the Division III All-Ohio teams.
The honors were announced today by the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association.
Jackson Izzard was named to the first team, JT Keith was included on the second team and Alec Schrock garnered honorable mention status.
Izzard was a 6-3, 190-pound senior wide receiver for a Pioneer squad that posted an 8-1 record during the 2020 campaign.
Izzard, who was also the Central District’s offensive player of the year in D-III, caught 68 passes for 771 yards and 11 touchdowns.
He led all Central Buckeye Conference receivers in yardage as the Pioneers claimed the championship of the circuit’s Kenton Trail Division.
Keith, a 5-10, 175-pound senior quarterback, topped the CBC in passing yards with 1,812.
He completed 163 passes in 245 attempts (67%).
Keith threw for 17 touchdowns.
Schrock, a 6-0, 230-pound senior, was the Pioneers’ top offensive lineman.
He helped pave the way for an Alder ground attack that rushed for 1,192 yards.
Alder tallied slightly less than 3,000 yards of total offense during the nine-game schedule.
