Triad’s girls hoop squad was edged by Sidney Fairlawn, 48-43, on Monday.
The game was tightly contested for the entire 32 minutes.
The score was deadlocked at 9-9 after the opening period.
Frani LeVan tallied all of Triad’s points during the initial eight minutes of action.
Fairlawn took a 20-18 edge at the halftime turn and held a 30-28 margin at the end of the third stanza.
Cati LeVan tossed in nine of her team-high 18 points during the fourth quarter as the Lady Cardinals (2-4) fell just short of victory.
Triad will host Northeastern Wednesday.
