Marysville head coach Shawn Andrews said the Lady Monarchs, Fremont Ross and Vermillion are listed as the top three teams competing in the regional.
The top four placers in each weight class will advance to the state tournament.
The state tournament for girls (all one division) will be held at The Schottenstein Center Friday through Sunday, March 8-10.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to compete at home,” said Andrews. “All year the focus has been on performance over outcomes.
“We tell the girls to just go out and wrestle to the best of your ability and score the next point regardless of the match score,” he said. “We plan to continue that same mindset going into this weekend.
“Our girls were excited to compete at Jonathan Alder during the pre-regional (last weekend),” said the coach. “I am excited to see the same energy from them on Sunday.”
