Marysville’s varsity girls tennis team opened the 2021 season on Friday with a 4-1 verdict over Mount Vernon.
The Lady Monarchs captured both doubles matches.
The first doubles team of Paige Hobbs and Alissa Scott beat Clow and Addison 6-0, 6-0.
Krista O’Shelski and Caitlee Hill took the second doubles match with a 6-0, 6-1 triumph over L. Gourley and Mayville.
Hanna Hogan of MHS won the second singles match with a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Annett.
Blair Fairchild won the third singles match with a 6-1, 6-0 verdict over Dinnen.
The lone Monarch loss to the Yellow Jackets came at first singles.
Ogle beat Emma Pzedpelski 6-1, 6-61.
