MHS clinches at least share of division title
Ava Wilkerson led three Lady Monarchs in double-figure scoring during Monday’s 53-45 overtime victory over Olentangy.
Wilkerson tallied 19 points, while Ava Krutowskis and Leah Brown each scored 10.
The win gives MHS at least a share of the OCC Cardinal Division title with a 7-2 mark.
Hilliard Darby also has two division losses, while Olentangy now has three.
The Braves (11-5) jumped out to a 15-9 margin by the end of the opening quarter.
MHS (14-5) tied the contest at 19-all by the halftime break.
Olentangy held a 32-30 edge by the conclusion of the third quarter.
The teams battled to a 37-37 stalemate by the end of regulation.
Brown tallied six of her points from the charity stripe during the extra session.
Marysville was 12-of-12 from the free throw line (and 14-of-14 for the game) during overtime to seal the victory.
Tinley Graves and Kass Lee both tallied six points for the Lady Monarchs (who will play at Fairbanks on Thursday).
Madi Sloan scored two points.

Lady Panthers triumph
Fairbanks’ girls went on the road and notched a 66-37 verdict at Madison Plains.
FHS (12-9) held a 13-12 edge at the end of the first set.
The Lady Panthers, however, burned the net for 22 points during the ensuing stanza.
Fairbanks took a 35-23 lead at the turn and a 57-32 advantage into the final quarter.
Macy Miller led four Lady Panthers in double figures with 14 points.
She was followed by Anna Poling-12 and Megan Rausch and Gracie Pyers-both with 10.
Also putting points on the scoreboard were Elaina Lahmers-eight, Ellie Carter-six and Lillian Miller, Emma Kugel and Carly Lehman-each with two.
The Lady Panthers will host Marysville on Thursday.

FHS boys win
The Panthers (13-5) figured out Greenon’s 2-3 zone in the second quarter and went on to win 41-28.
Fairbanks (which will travel to Triad this evening) trailed, 7-4, at the end of the opening set.
The Panthers missed a number of shots right at the rim during that time.
FHS got behind the zone for layups during the second quarter and took a 27-14 spread at halftime.
Fairbanks held a 32-22 margin by the end of the third period.
Carter Schultz led FHS with 11 points, followed by Braylon Green-10, Wyatt Miller-six, Trey Good and Grant Rausch-both with five and Andy Higinbotham-four.
