It was a night to crown conference champions as a trio of local high school basketball teams earned titles during games on Friday.
The Lady Monarchs of Marysville won the Ohio Capital Conference Cardinal Division title.
Fairbanks’ boys clinched the North Division crown of the Ohio Heritage Conference.
North Union’s Wildcats claimed the Mad River Division championship of the Central Buckeye Conference.

MHS-Olentangy Berlin
A 21-year gap in championships was wiped off the book.
The Lady Monarchs of Marysville scored a 47-37 victory at Olentangy Berlin.
In doing so, they won the program’s first Ohio Capital Conference outright championship since the 1999-2000 squad coached by Dave Fleming.
MHS (16-5 overall) won the Cardinal Division crown with an 8-2 record.
Hilliard Darby and Olentangy tied for runner-up honors with 7-3 marks.
Alyssa Strahm swished a pair of trifectas in leading Marysville to a 12-8 lead after the opening period.
Ava Wilkerson did likewise during the ensuing quarter.
Her three-pointers paced the Lady Monarchs to a 23-15 halftime advantage.
Leah Brown tallied all five of her points during the third quarter.
MHS took a 35-28 spread into the final eight minutes of action.
Ava Krutowskis scored five markers in the fourth quarter to help lead Marysville to victory.
Krutowskis led MHS with 11 points, while Kass Lee added 10.
Strahm finished with nine, followed by Wilkerson-eight, Brown-five and Tinley Graves-four.

Fairbanks-West Jefferson
The Panthers returned home with a 51-38 triumph over West Jefferson.
FHS improved to 15-5 overall and earned the division crown with a 12-4 record.
Fairbanks executed its offense well.
The Panthers led, 12-10, after the opening set and took a 25-17 spread into halftime.
FHS’ margin grew to 38-28 by the end of the third quarter.
Wyatt Miller poured in 21 points and Braylon Green added 14.
They were followed by Kyler Wilson-six, Carter Schultz-five, Trey Good-three and Andy Higinbotham-two.

NU-Benjamin Logan
Owen Davis scored 13 points and Preston Crabtree added 12 as the Wildcats rolled past Benjamin Logan, 62-35.
NU (16-2 overall and 10-0 in the CBC Mad River) jumped out to a 17-7 advantage in the first quarter and took a 39-15 spread at the turn.
The Wildcats’ lead stood at 50-28 by the conclusion of the third stanza.
Aaron Krebennne tallied nine points for NU, followed by Zach Vernon and Trevyn Feasel-both with eight.
Nolan Draper tallied six, while Max Parish and Mason Bright both finished with three.
