Fairbanks’ girls hoop squad closed out the regular season with a victory.
The Lady Panthers upped their record to 17-5 with a 47-32 verdict at Centerburg.
FHS finished the contest with a balanced scoring attack.
Carly Lehman led the offense with 15 points.
Elaina Lahmers and Ellie Carter both tallied 11 and Liz Reinhard finished with 10.
The Lady Panthers connected on 16 field goals in 52 attempts for 30.8%.
Lahmers led FHS’ 31 rebounds with nine caroms.
The team dished for 14 assists and came up with 16 steals to thwart Centerburg’s offense.
Fairbanks will open Division III post-season competition on its home court.
The fifth-seeded Lady Panthers will tip off on Saturday, 1 p.m., against No. 10 Johnstown.
Season ends for Lady Cardinals
The 2021-22 basketball season has come to an end for Triad’s girls team.
The Lady Cardinals (2-21) dropped a 76-4 verdict to top-seeded Fort Loramie in Division IV tournament action.
The game was played at Sidney High School.
Triad went into the contest as the No. 12 seed.
Madi Cox scored two points and came up with two rebounds.
Ashlyn McCoy and Abbey Overfield both tallied a point.
