West Liberty-Salem’s girls basketball offense was stagnant due to Jonathan Alder’s stout defense during the first three quarters on Thursday.
As a result, Alder rolled to a 47-28 triumph on the Tigers’ home court.
West Liberty managed just 13 points during a trio of stanzas.
The Lady Pioneers (14-2) took a 20-8 advantage at the halftime turn and a 40-13 margin by the end of the third set.
Sydney Bourquin led JA (which will travel to Bellefontaine on Saturday) with 11 points.

Lady Cardinals fall
Triad’s girls slipped to 2-14 with an 81-23 setback to Greenon.
The Lady Cardinals (who will play at West Liberty-Salem on Saturday) trailed 23-8 by the end of the first period and 44-14 at halftime.
Greenon took a 60-20 margin into the fourth quarter.
