Marysville’s boys varsity hoopsters won their second consecutive game on Saturday.
The Monarchs (4-5) downed Delaware Hayes, 47-36, on the Pacers’ court.
MHS jumped out to a 16-9 lead by the end of the opening quarter and took a 25-19 margin at the turn.
Marysville upped its advantage to 37-24 by the end of the third period.
Jack Christian led MHS with 14 points, followed by Evan Brown-eight, Garrett Taylor-eight, Griffin Johnson-five, Riley Karnes-four, Jason Moore-four, Kade Focht-two and Ryan Barlow-two.

JA wins
Jonathan Alder’s boys rolled to a 58-32 triumph over London on Friday.
The Pioneers jumped out to a 19-6 margin by the conclusion of the opening stanza.
JA held a 31-17 margin at halftime and took a 44-21 lead into the final quarter.
Alder hit 20-of-44 field goals for 45 percent.
The Red Raiders, on the other hand, managed just 11 shots in 39 attempts for an ice cold 28 percent.
The Pioneers also controlled the boards, 31-23. Of that total, 10 JA boards were on the offensive end of the court.
That kept scoring opportunities alive for Jonathan Alder.
Jackson Izzard and Peyton Heiss respectively led JA with 15 and 10 points.
They were followed by Taber Headings-nine, Tyler Begin-eight, Joey Walker-seven, Gavin Heimlich and Nick Riedel-both with three, Rodney Brandel-two and Grant Welsch-one.

Lady Monarchs fall
Marysville’s girls slipped to 8-5 with 39-38 loss at New Albany on Saturday.
MHS led, 11-10, after the opening quarter, but trailed 24-17 at halftime.
The Eagles took a 33-29 margin into the final set.
Ava Wilkerson led Marysville with 10 points.
She was followed by Kass Lee-eight, Tinley Graves-seven, Leah Brown-six, Madi Sloan-five and Ava Krutowskis-two.

Teams triumph
St. John’s Lutheran School’s JV boys hoopsters won four recent games.
The Jaguars beat Northside Christian, 33-27.
Mac Rausch led the Jags with 13 points, while Connor Boyd tallied 10.
Liberty Christian fell to St. John’s 40-13.
Boyd led the scoring with 10 points and Cody Gallmeyer added eight.
St. John’s clawed its way to a 28-25 verdict over Tree of Life.
Boyd again led the Jaguars with 11 points.
St. John’s scored a 36-27 verdict over Wellington.
Gallmeyer scored 12 points.
The varsity Jaguars rolled past Tree of Life, 44-15.
Jackson Burns netted 11 points, while Nate Fisher added nine.
