Jonathan Alder’s softball squad upped its overall record to 9-1 and its Central Buckeye Conference mark at 6-0.
The Lady Pioneers did so with a 10-0, five-inning verdict at Tecumseh.
JA tallied three runs in the visitors’ portion of the opening inning.
Alder then put the game away with seven runs in the fifth.
Jonathan Alder outhit Tecumseh, 8-2, and did not commit an error.
Jaden Phelps went two-for-three at the plate and drove in a trio of runs.
Kylie King and Lily Walker both had one hit and two RBIs.
Shanna Higgins finished with two hits.
Marlee Jacobs finished with another stellar game in the pitching circle.
She fanned 11 and issued just one walk.
Alder will play at North Union on Friday.

Lady Cats triumph
North Union’s softball team clubbed Urbana, 13-2.
The victory raised NU’s overall record to 6-3 and its CBC mark at 4-2.
The Lady Cats rapped 13 hits, including four (in four trips to the plate) by Kayla Sedgewick.
Kennady Ruhl homered among her two hits drove in six runs.
Bailee Amstutz and Candace Holloway each tallied a pair of hits.
Reece DeCamp pitched North Union to victory. She yielded four hits and struck out four.
The Lady Cats will host Jonathan Alder on Friday.

Triad falls
The Lady Cardinals of Triad suffered a 1-0 non-conference setback to Elgin.
The game was scoreless six innings.
The Comets plated the winning run in the top of the seventh.
Lilly Greene tallied Triad’s lone hit.
Cardinal pitcher Joni Russell scattered four hits in seven hits.
She struck out 11 and did not walk a batter.
Triad (2-8) will play at Greeneview today.
