Jonathan Alder’s softball team upped its record to 12-1 with a 3-2 verdict over Kenton Ridge on Tuesday.
The game was played a day ahead of schedule due to anticipated inclement weather on Wednesday.
JA’s Marlee Jacobs struck out 10 and walked one batter for the victory.
She scattered two hits.
Danielle Robbins tallied three of Alder’s eight hits.
Kiersten Dolby finished with two RBIs.

Jayvees triumph
The Marysville JV softball team notched a 14-1 victory over Delaware Hayes earlier this week.
Caitlin Regal went the distance in the pitching circle and struck out 10.
The Monarchs rapped 13 hits with Kamryn Harbold and Abigail Wilkerson each hitting a home run.
Abby Strahm, Ashlynn McAdow and Jordyn Ledley each contributed two hits.

Bunsold squad wins
The Bunsold seventh-grade baseball team (2-3) downed Dublin Grizzell, 5-3, in eight innings earlier this week.
A trio of pitchers – Ethan McLeish, Cade Bryant and Paul Green – combined to scatter four hits and fan seven.
Green earned the victory.
McLeish made several stellar catches to snuff out Grizzell rallies in the sixth and eighth innings to seal the victory.
The offense chipped away with Ryan Melish, McLeish and Landon Gresham each tallying two hits.
Gresham drove in the game-winning RBI.
