Jonathan Alder’s softball squad raised its record to 19-1 with a 13-2 run-rule verdict over Hilliard Bradley.
JA assured the victory by plating 10 runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Alder rapped nine hits and took advantage of five Bradley fielding miscues.
Shanna Higgins and Danielle Robbins each tallied a pair of hits for Jonathan Alder.
They drove in three runs between them.
Also hitting safely for the Lady Pioneers were Kiersten Dolby, Marlee Jacobs, Jaden Phelps, Evan Platfoot and Lilly Walker.
Jacobs started in the pitching circle and went 4 2/3 innings. She fanned seven and issued one walk.
Natalie Neumeier finished the contest.
The Lady Pioneers will open Division II tournament action at home today.
They will host Columbus Linden McKinley with the first pitch slated at 5 p.m.

Lady Panthers triumph
Fairbanks’ softball squad beat Southeastern 6-2 in Ohio Heritage Conference action.
Sarah Writesel was the winning pitcher. She whiffed eight, walked two and surrendered nine hits.
Anna Higbee and Macy Kise both tallied a pair of hits.
Kise drove in two runs.
The Lady Panthers are 14-5 overall and 10-4 in the conference.
They will host Columbus Bishop Ready on Thursday, 5 p.m., in the opening round of Division III tournament play.
FHS still has to play conference games against Cedarville on Friday and possibly finish Northeastern’s game on Saturday.
FHS leads the Northeastern game 4-0 in the bottom of the fourth.
The game was suspended due to rain.

Triad squad triumphs
The Lady Cardinal softball team blasted Cedarville 17-4.
Jessica Bernardi went four-for-four at the plate and drove in a trio of runs for Triad.
Gracey Gilpin and Allison Harlan both tallied three hits, while Mallory Hayes finished with two.
Harlan and Hayes each notched three RBIs.
Kaley Nott, Autumn Feasel and Kaydee Roberts each finished with two ribbies.
Harlan went the distance in the pitching circle.
She sent eight batters down swinging, walked two and allowed seven hits in five innings.
Triad (4-17 overall and 2-13 in the OHC) will play at Greenon today.

Cardinals fall
Triad’s baseball squad slipped to 6-12 overall and 6-8 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 4-0 setback against Cedarville.
The Cardinals were limited to just two hits – one each by Devin Bradley and Wyat Cole.
Ayden Spriggs took the loss on the mound.
He pitched six innings and surrendered eight hits.
Two of Cedarville’s runs were earned.
Spriggs struck out six and did not walk a batter.
