Marysville’s girls golf team placed second during a triangular match on Thursday.
Olentangy won the contest with a score of 183.
MHS carded a 191 and Olentangy Orange finished with a 210.
Olivia Ishmael led the Lady Monarchs with a 46, followed by Emily Williams-47, Cassi Van Dyke-48 and Avery Prohaska-50.
The Lady Monarchs placed fourth during an Ohio Capital Conference match at Mentel Memorial earlier in the week.
New Albany won the event with a 294, followed by Upper Arlington-310, Dublin Coffman-328, MHS-381, Hilliard Davidson-398 and Canal Winchester-419.
“That was our best OCC tournament score of the season,” said MHS coach Juliet Litzel.
Ishmael carded a 91, followed by Williams-92 (a personal record), Van Dyke-94 and Prohaska-104.
Panthers win
Fairbanks’ varsity boys defeated West Jefferson, 158-209.
Travis Brake and Alex Crowe tied for top team honors with scores of 38.
They were followed by Logan Bocsy-40, Andrew Crowe-42 and Seth Payne-45.
Triad girls fall
The Lady Cardinals slipped to 2-4 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with a 222-239 loss to Northeastern.
Olivia Butz led Triad with a 54, followed by Joni Russell-57, Anna Nott-61, Maddie Campbell-67 and Audra Millice-68.
JVs triumph
Marysville’s JV boys won a triangular match.
The Monarchs shot a 181, Fairbanks finished with a 221 and West Jefferson had no team score.
Johnathon Cusack led the Jr. Monarchs with a 43, followed by Ty Shaw-44, Wes McHenry-46 and Nick Wever and Myles Young-48.
