Morgan Alexander was tagged with the loss. She struck out five.
Riverside’s Alaina Snow pitched a perfect game.
She fanned 14 as no Triad batters reached base.
The Pirates, who were the No. 9 seed, improved to 8-8 with the victory.
The No. 15 Lady Cardinals slipped to 4-18.
Triad, which has a 2-13 record in the Ohio Heritage Conference, has a make-up game left to go at Greenon.
The contest is tentatively scheduled to start at 5:30 p.m. today.
Panthers fall
The Fairbanks baseball team slipped to 9-10 overall and 6-9 in the Ohio Heritage Conference with an 8-6 setback at Southeastern.
The Panthers tied the game at 2-2 in the visitors’ portion of the fourth inning.
The Trojans, however, came back with six runs in the bottom of the fifth.
FHS clawed its way back into contention with four runs in the seventh.
Ryker Beaty had three hits in four at-bats for the Panthers.
CJ Swartz also hit safely three times and drove in a pair of runs.
Noah Rausch added two of Fairbanks’ 11 hits and plated a pair of runs.
Max Snyder yielded eight hits in four innings on the mound. He sent six batters down on strikes.
Taylor Andrews and Swartz also pitched for FHS.
