Marysville’s boys lacrosse team concluded its 2024 season after falling to Perrysburg, 11-9.
The 18th-seeded Monarchs (who finished with a 5-13 record) ventured to Yellow Jacket Country for a postseason play-in matchup. However, No. 15 Perrysburg (8-6) managed to outlast the Monarchs.
Senior Ben Durey led Marysville in goals by claiming a hat trick (three).
Julian Kennedy and Ben Alessi both tallied a pair of goals.
Other scores came from Jamey Best and Hunter Sheldon.
Alessi led with two assists, followed by Logan Fitch and Hunter Sheldon, each with one.
Inside the cage, goalie Maddox Barker collected 16 saves while facing 41 shots.
