A 6-5 victory over Olentangy upped Marysville’s baseball record to 12-4 on Monday.
The Monarchs took a 2-0 lead after two innings.
The Braves reduced their deficit to 2-1 in the top of the fourth.
MHS added a pair of runs in both the fourth and sixth innings.
Tyler Kesterson went three-for-three at the plate and drove in a trio of runs.
Rocco Marchetti finished with two hits and an RBI.
Also hitting safely were James Hackworth, Tate Martino and Derek Moyer.
Mason Springs drove in a run.
Martino allowed four hits and fanned five in six innings on the mound.
Isaiah Brooks pitched one inning.

FHS girls win
The Lady Panthers of Fairbanks got back on the softball winning track.
Fairbanks is now 11-1-1 overall and 8-1 in the Ohio Heritage Conference (North Division) with a 5-0 triumph over West Jefferson.
Macy Kise fanned 15 batters en route to the two-hit victory. She walked one.
“Macy pitched an amazing game,” said Panther coach Amy Sines.
Kise finished the contest with one hit, as did Hailey Dee, Anna Dulle, Kyah Hendren and Elizabeth Gregory.
Dulle, Jenna Dee and Claire Meihls each drove in a run.

Lady Pioneers drop game
Jonathan Alder’s softball squad dropped its first Central Buckeye Conference game of the season.
Kenton Ridge toppled the Lady Pioneers 16-0.
The Cougars upped their record to 15-2 overall and 10-1 in the conference’s Kenton Trail Division.
The Lady Pioneers slipped to 12-3 overall and 9-1 in the conference.
Kenton Ridge pitcher Kyanne Tyson limited Jonathan Alder to just two hits – one each from Abby Bush and Gracie Napier.
Tyson walked five and struck out two.
JA pitcher Alyssa Miller was roughed up for 10 runs – eight of which were earned – in 2/3 of an inning. She struck out two and issued a pair of free passes.
Macy Pruitt was in the circle for 3 1/3 innings. A total of six runs were tallied on her watch, three of which were earned.
Eliza Shuping pitched one inning.
The Cougars clubbed a total of 20 hits.

Panthers fall
Fairbanks’ baseball squad dropped a 9-2 verdict to West Jefferson.
The Panthers held a 2-0 margin as the Roughriders came to the plate in the home half of the third inning.
West Jefferson tallied seven runs during that at-bat and added single scores in both the fourth and fifth frames.
Dayne Madison finished the game with one hit and drove in one run for FHS.
Zavier Payne added the other Fairbanks hit, while Max Snyder had an RBI.
Carson Reames started on the mound for the Panthers. He allowed nine hits and fanned five in 3 2/3 innings.
Jacob Woody finished the game for FHS with a pair of punch-outs.
Fairbanks slipped to 7-5 overall and 5-2 in the Ohio Heritage Conference North Division.

Triad drops game
The Cardinal baseball squad stands at 0-11 overall and 0-8 in the OHC after a 12-1 setback at the hands of Mechanicsburg.
Triad knotted the game at 1-1 in the visitors’ portion of the second inning.
The Indians took control with a trio of runs in the bottom of the frame and shortened the game via the run rule.
Hayden Beswick finished with two of the Cardinals’ four hits.
Russell House and Blayk Thomas also hit safely.
Thomas drove in the team’s lone run.
Gage Heitman and House both pitched for the Cardinals.
