Marysville’s varsity boys golf team tallied its second-best score of the season with a 341 on Wednesday.
The score came during the final Ohio Capital Conference Central Division match of the year at Darby Creek. MHS placed fourth.
A.J. Fisher led the Monarchs with a season-best 79. He was followed by Dylan Tremayne-84, Sameer Parashar-87 and Chris Borjas-91.
Pioneers triumph
Jonathan Alder’s boys won the Madison County tournament at Buck Ridge.
The Pioneers carded a 157, followed by West Jefferson-171, Madison Plains-185, Shekinah Christian-185 and London-191.
Alder’s Hayden Mitchell was the match medalist with a score of 38. Mychal McKelvey finished with a 39, while Giuseppe Petrella and Tyler Hilbert each shot a 40.
Mitchell, McKelvey, Petrella and Hilbert were named to the tournament’s first team.
Zach Otto, who tallied a 43, was named to the second team.
Liam Thompson was named honorable mention.
Cardinals triumph
Triad’s girls defeated Greenon, Madison Plains and Southeastern in a quad match at Locust Hills.
The Lady Cardinals shot a 203. Greenon followed with a 211, Madison Plains shot a 221 and Southeastern carded a 224.
Triad was led by the overall match medalist Kayleigh Boldman with a 45, followed by Lexi Moore-50, Anna Nott-51, Shelby Sheets-57, Ashley Cave-58 and Olivia Butz–60.
The Cardinal boys downed Springfield Catholic Central, 195-205.
Creighton Bradley and Cole Pond each carded a 47 for Triad. Jacob Greve shot a 48 and Devin Butz finished with a 53.
