The Union County Family YMCA has updated safety precautions due to the coronavirus.
The county went into the red alert category late last week and YMCA officials have updated their mask requirements.
Masks must be worn in the lobby, hallways, locker rooms and restrooms.
Patrons must also wear masks on the pool deck and while sitting on the commons areas, such as on the bleachers and spectator viewing.
Mask must also be worn outside if the six-foot social distancing mandate cannot be maintained.
There are several exceptions to the regulation.
Masks do not have to be worn during group exercise classes, or while swimming.
Those playing basketball, racquetball or pickleball do not have to wear a mask.
Children in the Kidzone will not be required to have a mask.
Masks are encouraged in the fitness center when patrons use weight machines and free weights.
No masks are required for the use of cardio equipment.
