Marysville’s boys and girls track and field teams both placed sixth during the annual Gary Smith Invitational at Thomas Worthington.
The boys tallied 56 points on Saturday, while the Lady Monarchs scored 46.5.
Scoring highlights for MHS were as follows:
Boys
-Jacob Ranker: 300 hurdles, first, 38.89; 110 hurdles, second, 14.93;
-Gary Markin: pole vault, second, 12-0;
-Tristan Karnes: 1600 run, third, 4:39.43;
-Cameron Jones: long jump, fourth, 18-11.
Girls
-Brynn Rychlik: pole vault, second, 9-6;
-Mary Calvert: pole vault, fourth, 9-0;
-Haley Cook: long jump, fourth, 15-9; 300 hurdles, fifth, 49.98;
-4 x 1600 relay: second in 24:02 (Jacquelyn Witt, Leanne Eichorn, Katie Krueger, Kayla Michalak);
-Witt: 3200 run, fourth, 12:01.
The Monarchs will compete at Central Crossing on Tuesday.
