The Monarch varsity wrestling squad opened the Ohio Capital Conference Central Division portion of its schedule on Thursday.
The Monarchs breezed to a 57-17 triumph at Westland.
Marysville, however, trailed 17-0 after the first four weight classes.
MHS got on the winning track and captured the final 10 bouts.

“We were pleased with our guys’ effort and conditioning tonight,” said Marysville head coach Shawn Andrews. “Even in matches where we didn’t get our hand raised, we were in better shape than our opponents.
“The biggest match of the night was at 145,” he said. “Jack lost to Hurley last year and Hurley went on to be a district placer. That’s a match we could see again in the post-season.
“While it’s great to start out the league season with a win, we still have a lot of work to do,” said Andrews.
The Monarchs will wrestle tonight at Olentangy Liberty.
