Marysville’s boys varsity lacrosse team dropped an 18-6 verdict at Pickerington Central on Thursday.
Hunter Wilson and Jacob Branton tallied the Monarchs’ first-half goals.
Pickerington Central led at halftime by a 16-2 count.
Central scored two more goals in the third quarter as Monarch players spent more than six minutes in the penalty box.
MHS scored four goals during the fourth period.
Branton notched three of those goals. One was unassisted and the others came with help from Mark Frendberg and Wilson.
Frendberg scored the final goal of the game with 13 seconds left to play.
Jayvee goalie Christian Ibarro tended the net due to an injury to varsity goalie Grayson Fultz.
Ibarro averaged 33 percent on saves.
Fultz is expected back in the lineup next week.
The MHS reserves fell to Pickerington Central, 7-1.
Adam Platt scored the Jr. Monarchs’ lone goal on an assist by Morgan Bisel.
Ethan Prior had one save in the net for the Monarchs.
