Marysville’s boys lacrosse team went .500 (1-1) in two matchups last week.
Following the team’s loss to Hilliard Darby, the Monarchs rebounded against Newark (5-4) on the road, while also having a setback against Big Walnut (14-5).

Julian Kennedy and Hunter Sheldon each scored twice in the contest with Dusty Bernard claiming one goal. Kennedy also notched an assist.
The team collectively recorded 25 shots on the opposition’s goalkeeper.
Goalie Sean McGee collected 17 saves while facing 29 shots.

Big Walnut
Marysville experienced a setback a few days later by falling to Big Walnut14-5.
Ben Durey was the top scorer for the Monarchs. He scored two goals and assisted on another.
The other goals came from Jamey Best, Bernard and Sheldon.
McGee claimed six saves while facing 21 shots on goal.
Taking over in the cage, Maddox Barker recorded four saves on eight shots.
The Monarchs’ overall record stands at 5-6 with a 1-2 conference record.
The junior varsity was prosperous prior to the main headliner on Saturday. The Monarchs came out on top 7-5.
Nic Cavinee was lights out, scoring six goals.
Brandon Weigand notched one goal.
The team recorded 19 shots on Big Walnut’s goalkeeper.
Goalies Barker and Saxton Bond combined for 14 saves while facing 23 shots
