Marysville’s boys varsity soccer squad edged Big Walnut, 3-2, on Tuesday.
Both teams caught fire after a scoreless first half.
The Eagles put in the game’s first goal, but MHS tied the score and then took the lead with 12 minutes left to play.
Big Walnut tied the match at 2-2 with six minutes left.
The Monarchs scored the eventual winning goal with three minutes remaining on the clock.
Nick McIntosh scored two of MHS’ goals, while Ryan Walters put in the other goal.
Grant Kaifas had seven saves in the net as the Monarchs improved to 2-3 on the season.
