Marysville’s boys soccer team dropped a 2-1 verdict to Hilliard Darby on Thursday.
The Monarchs made a late push in the game and notched a goal from Joel Sheely.
Mason Taylor finished with six saves for Marysville.
MHS’ girls fell to Darby, 2-1.
Emma Armstrong scored the Lady Monarchs’ goal.
Morgan Roby finished the game with nine saves.
FHS splits matches
Fairbanks’ boys soccer team scored a 1-0 victory at Greeneview.
Greeneview was previously unbeaten in the Ohio Heritage Conference. The outcome knocked the Rams out of outright title contention and put the Panthers (5-1 in the OHC) in the hunt.
The game was tied 0-0 at the break.
FHS tallied its lone goal when James Yoder’s free kick ricocheted off the crossbar and Mason Smith guided the ball into the net.
Weston Lorenz finished with nine saves.
The Lady Panthers lost to Greeneview, 5-0.
Macy Wanamaker had 10 saves for Fairbanks.
