The Marysville boys and girls swim teams were both victorious Monday with wins over Team Champ.
Team Champ consists of five teams from Champaign County, including London, Mechanicsburg, West Salem-Liberty, Graham and Triad.
“I’m really proud of the boys team for getting their first win of the season,” said MHS coach Beth Seman. “Nathan Moledor continues to improve and has filled in some spots where we are light.
“They are all progressing well and putting in the effort at practice.”
The girls team continues to do well and has dominated all three meets so far this season.
“Reese Cordonnier has been improving with every meet and earned a lifetime best of 59.24 in the 100 freestyle on Monday,” said Seman. “Molly Gregory snagged first place in all four events in which she participated.
“Joey Hazelbaker and Moledor also won all of their events,” said the coach.
“I’m excited to see what they can do this weekend at our huge invitational at Bowling Green, the Northwest Ohio Classic.”
