The Marysville High School swimming teams celebrated their senior nights with victories over Jonathan Alder and Fairbanks on Thursday.
The Lady Monarchs won their meet with 87 points, followed by JA-49 and Fairbanks-10.
Marysville’s boys tallied 98 points, while Alder finished with 21 and the Panthers scored 10.
“It was a great night recognizing our senior swimmers,” said MHS coach Beth Seman. “Many of our kids have participated with the Jonathan Alder and Fairbanks swimmers over the years through club and rec teams, so it was fitting that we shared our night with them.
“We had a great night that ended with our Senior Splash Out, where the underclassmen all line up on either side of a lane and the seniors jump in and swim through them as they splash,” she said. “It’s a great tradition that they all love.”
