The Cardinals tied the score in the home half of the second.

He surrendered two runs on six hits over five innings. Christian fanned eight and did not walk a batter.
Blaine Williams threw two innings of relief.
The Monarchs finished the contest with nine hits.
Chase Kilgore, Storr, Schaeffer and Parks each had two hits.
The Monarchs’ home game against Lakewood was called on Monday due to inclement weather.
Marysville is scheduled to return to the diamond at home on Wednesday.
The Monarchs were originally scheduled to host Highland, however, MHS head coach Nick Blake said that was not going to be played.
“We may try to reschedule Lakewood on Wednesday,” Blake told the Journal-Tribune Monday afternoon. “If we can’t reschedule them, we will try to pick up another game.”
