Dublin Coffman scored two first-half goals and went on to beat Marysville’s boys soccer team, 3-1, on Thursday.
A strong second half was not enough for the Monarchs to earn the win.
Ryan Walters tallied MHS’ lone goal.
Grant Kaifas came up with seven saves in the net.
The Monarchs slipped to 7-4-0 with the loss.
FHS girls win
The Lady Panthers improved to 9-3-1 on the season with an 8-1 win at Southeastern.
Samantha Adkins led FHS’ scorers with three goals and added an assist.
Ellie Carter tallied a pair of goals and two assists, while Lilly Dean, Elaina Lahmers and Carly Lehman each added a goal.
Kate Ruff finished with one assist.
Keepers Avery Groves and Brynne Stanley were each credited with one save.
JA falls
Jonathan Alder’s boys slipped to 3-4-4 with a 2-0 loss to Columbus Bishop Hartley.
Michael Cooper had two saves for the Pioneers.
