Marysville High School’s boys varsity lacrosse team had split verdicts during its final two games of the 2019 campaign.
The Monarchs defeated Jonathan Alder, 13-9, during Friday’s Senior Night celebration.
The Monarchs then traveled to Brunswick on Saturday and fell 15-2 during the opening round of the Division I tournament.
Mark Frendberg led MHS with four goals and one assist against Alder.
Collin Bachnagel and Jacob Branton each tallied three goals.
Baschnagel notched two assists, while Jacob Hullinger added one.
Travis Geyer scored twice, Sean Murray finished with a pair of assists and David Bonczak had one goal and an assist.
Mike Gingras won 58% of his face-offs, while Morgan Bisel won a single face-off.
Goalie Grayson Fultz averaged 40% on saves.
Mason Seum led the Pioneers with five goals and an assist.
Alex Kerr tallied two goals, while Giona Sicilian and Connor Costello each scored once.
Declan Costello finished with four assists, while JA goalie Mason Arbogast saved eight of MHS’ shots on goal.
Branton and Baschnagel scored the Monarchs’ goals during the tournament loss to Brunswick.
Gingras finished his high school career by winning 63% of his face-offs.
Fultz had nine saves as the Monarchs (4-13) concluded their season.
