The Marysville High School girls swim team narrowly pulled out a win over Hilliard Davidson on Sunday at the Hilliard YMCA.
The Lady Monarchs tallied 87 points, to Davidson’s 80.
The MHS boys fought hard, but fell to Davidson, 119-51.
“We are at the point in the season where everyone is a little tired, a little worn down,” said MHS coach Beth Seman. “That’s exactly where we want them to be.
“With only three weeks until our sectional tournament, we really want to work them hard and then reward them with taper time.
“That’s where we bring them back down and get them rested so they can swim their very best at sectionals in hopes of qualifying for districts,” she said.
