Marysville High School’s boys track and field team won a triangular meet earlier this week at Big Walnut.
The Monarchs tallied 76 points, followed by Big Walnut-71 and Westerville North-28.
Big Walnut won the girls’ meet with 97 points.
The Lady Monarchs scored 71 and Westerville North finished with six.
Marysville athletes took first-place honors as follows:
Boys
-Jacob Ranker: 110 hurdles, 14.99; 300 hurdles, 39.15; 200 dash, 22.88;
-Tristan Karnes: 800 run, 2:08;
-Thomas Rice: discus, 120-2;
-Tyler Marsh: 3200 run, 10:50.
Girls
-Rhiannon Gossett: shot put, 32-1 and discus, 99-8.5;
-Jenna Rioch: 400 dash, 1:01.64;
-Haley Cook: 300 hurdles, 51.65;
-Katie Miller: long jump, 15-6;
-Brynn Rychlik: pole vault, 9-6.
The Monarchs will travel to Thomas Worthington on Saturday to compete in the Gary Smith Invitational.
Competition is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m.
