Marysville’s boys varsity lacrosse squad notched its second win of the season with a 15-8 verdict over Gahanna on Saturday.
Leading the team in goals was Hunter Wilson with four.
Travis Geyer had a hat trick (three goals) and one assist to Wilson.
Sean Murray tallied two goals and assisted Wilson and Mark Frendberg on their scores
Frendberg and Jacob Branton each added two goals apiece and an assist.
Braiden Henson and David Bonzcak each added one goal, with Jakob Hullinger assisting Geyer and Frendberg.
Mike Gingras won 10 out of 13 face-offs.
Max Shroyer went 42 percent on face-offs for the day.
Goalie Christian Ibarro saved 43 percent of Gahanna’s shots on goal.
Girls triumph
Marysville’s girls varsity lacrosse squad edged Fairmont, 12-11.
Gabby Hill carried the bulk of the Lady Monarchs’ offense on her shoulders, as she tallied nine goals.
Stella Moser added three scores for MHS.
Brooke Jordan finished with one assist.
Marysville goalie Madi Cantrell turned away 18 Fairmont shots.
JVS fall
Marysville’s boys JV squad fell to Gahanna, 8-4.
Cody McCormick led the junior Monarchs with a pair of goals that were assisted by Dominic Loyer.
Adam Platt and Morgan Bisel each added a goal.
Ethan Prior saved five shots.
