The Lady Cats of North Union upped their volleyball record to 20-1 on Saturday.
No. 1 seed NU scored a 25-11, 25-8, 25-10 verdict over No. 16 Amanda Clearcreek in Division III tournament action.
The Lady Cats tallied 32 kills for the match.
Journey Blevins led with 13, while Grace Brandt finished with seven.
Jordyn Huffman set North Union’s hitters well as she notched 28 assists.
The Lady Cats will return to tourney action at home on Thursday at 6 p.m.
They will face No. 9 Columbus Bishop Ready at 6 p.m.

Lady Panthers advance
Fairbanks’ spikers stayed alive during the Division III tournament.
The Lady Panthers (15-9) took their No. 10 seed into No. 8 Grandview on Saturday.
FHS rolled to a 25-22, 25-14, 25-14 triumph.
Jayda Rausch and Ellee Johnson respectively led Fairbanks with eight and seven kills.
Kaelynn Sphapmixay finished with 14 ace serves, while Lizzie Nicol added 12.
Sphapmixay also tallied 23 assists.
Fairbanks will play at No. 2 Johnstown Northridge on Wednesday, 6 p.m.

MHS girls end season
The 2020 volleyball season came to an end for Marysville’s Lady Monarchs on Saturday.
MHS, which was the 29th seeded team in the Division I tournament, fell to No. 9 Worthington Kilbourne.
Scores for the three-set sweep were 15-25, 19-25, 20-25.
The Lady Monarchs played the match one day after coming out of COVID-19 quarantine.
Marysville finished the season with a record of 5-16.
