North Union and Jonathan Alder each had 4×800 relay teams earn first-place finishes Wednesday in the Central Buckeye Conference track championship at Benjamin Logan.
The Lady Cat foursome of Savannah Amstutz, Gabby Lindsey, Lauren Hall and Kennedy Ludwig set a Mad River Division record time of 10 minutes, 13.19 seconds.
According to the results, the Jonathan Alder girls 4×800 team won the Kenton Trail Division race with the same time as North Union.
The Pioneer boys 4×800 team also set the Kenton Trail Division record with a winning time of 8:15.61.
No names for those JA runners were available.
Other Jonathan Alder athletes competing who earned placements points were Giovanni Placek (boys discus, third, 118 feet), Omar Rodriguez (boys discus, sixth, 112-5), Natalie Walker (girls high jump, third 4-8), Molly Krummrey (girls high jump, fourth 4-8 and girls shot put, fourth 34-1.5) and Annie Saxour (girls shot put, fifth 33-5).
Also placing for North Union were Wyatt Davis (boys long jump, third, 20-9), Owen Hoffer (boys discus, sixth 120-11), Josie Ufferman (girls shot put, fourth 29-6,75 ) and Ella Temple (girls shot put, sixth 28-2.75).
After three events, Jonathan Alder is fourth in the Kenton Trail boys meet and second in the girls meet.
With three events completed in the Mad River Division, the North Union boys and girls teams are both fifth.
The meet concludes today.
