North Union took second place as a team at the Triad Duals tournament.
The Wildcats captured four of their five dual matches.
The only loss for North Union came at the hands of Bucyrus by a 45-36 count.
NU beat Bellefontaine 42-21, Triad 42-30, Urbana 54-18 and Northwestern 48-18.
The first portion of the tourney proved to be quite fruitful for North Union, which saw four wrestlers go undefeated.
They included Trace Williams (5-0), Gabe Hansen (5-0), Shan Swank (5-0) and Brody Wilson (5-0).
North Union’s Zack Ellis and Braedon Scowden each went 4-1 respectively.
Tyler Cline went 3-2.
Both Josh Ahern and Gavin Craft each went 2-3 on the day as well.
Triad posted two team victories during its five dual matches.
The Cardinals downed Urbana 48-18 and Bellefontaine 48-24.
Along with the loss to North Union, Triad fell to Bucyrus 54-17 and Northwestern 54-24.
Triad’s 165-pounder Awsom Mitchell, a freshman, went undefeated on the day and was the only Cardinal to go 5-0.
Further, the grapplers dresssed in red and black saw three go 4-1 in Kyle Walkborn, Tucker Webb and Ty Thomas.
Also wrestling for Triad were Jacob Haser (2-2), Lindsey Walborn (1-4), Logan Harper (3-2), Cayden Everhart (2-3) and Reid Todhunter (3-2).
The Cardinals are slated to participate in sectional action at Covington on Saturday, Feb. 26.
