University of Findlay freshman volleyball athlete Journey Blevins was named North Division Player of the Week this past Wednesday by the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
It is the third time this season that Blevins has earned Player of the Week honors.
Blevins, a 2021 North Union High School graduate, led the Oilers to victories over Tiffin University and Ashland University.
She tallied 19 kills and recorded a hitting percentage of .515 against Tiffin. She also notched eight digs and three service aces in the match.
Blevins followed up with 23 kills, 16 digs and two blocks in a five-set win over Ashland.
For the season, through Oct. 23, Blevins has totaled 297 kills for 4.41 kills per set, both ranked second in the league. She is also in the top ten in hitting percentage.
