The Panthers of Fairbanks High School kept their 2019 soccer season alive Tuesday evening.
FHS (the No. 13 seed) edged No. 8 Tree of Life, 1-0, in double-overtime.
The game began on Tree of Life’s field on Monday, but was halted during the second extra session due to darkness.
The score was deadlocked 0-0 when the match was stopped.
The Panthers scored the winning goal with approximately three minutes left in the second sudden-death period.

Weston Lorenz tallied five saves to preserve the shutout.
The Panthers (8-8-2) will not have much time to celebrate their second post-season victory.
They will travel to play at No. 7 Johnstown Northridge tonight for a 7 p.m. Division III district semifinal match.
