Fairbanks’ varsity baseball team upped its record to 2-3 with an 8-3 victory over Cedarville
The Panthers grabbed a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the first and plated six runs over the fourth-through-sixth innings.
FHS rapped four hits, including one each from Cole Justus, Dayne Madison, Carson Reames and Madden Ungerer.
Justus and Madison both drove in a pair of runs.
Madison started on the mound for Fairbanks and pitched the first six innings.
He yielded five hits and fanned six.

Lady Panthers win
The Lady Panther softball squad improved to 5-0-1 with a five-inning, 18-0 triumph over Cedarville.
Fairbanks jumped out to a 12-0 lead after the initial inning and added six scores in the bottom of the third.
FHS notched 10 hits and committed only one fielding miscue.
Anna Dulle led Fairbanks with two hits and four RBIs.
Also hitting safely were Miah Cheney, Jenna Dee, Elizabeth Gregory, Tiffini Harper, Kyal Hendren, Macy Kise, Maddi Sines and Abby Skedell.
Gregory, Harper and Skedell each drove in two runs.
Sines pitched a complete-game victory. She yielded six hits and fanned five.

JVs win two
Marysville’s junior varsity softball squad won three recent games.
The Jr. Monarchs beat Mathews High School, 16-1, and topped Gahanna, 14-3.
Gwen Dyal, Addison Altizer and Josalynn Taulbee each smacked solo homers for the Monarchs.
Dyal, Savannah Jenkins and Jovie Trauch each tallied three hits.
Altizer and Taulbee each had two.
Kylie Levings struck out seven to pick up the win.
MHS tallied 15 hits.
Dyal, Abigail Bryant and Jenkins each had solo homers among their three hits.
Levings finished with two hits.
A day earlier, the reserves defeated Columbus Bishop Watterson, 9-6.
MHS scored three hits in the bottom of the sixth to break a 6-all stalemate and shut down the Eagles in the top of the seventh.
Jenkins earned the win in relief of Levings.
Jenkins had three hits, while Bryant and Taulbee both finished with two.
