The Fairbanks boys soccer team opened its season with a 9-0 win at home over Madison Plains last week.
The potent and experienced Panther offense struck early with its first goal before the first minute of the clock had passed.
The Eagles’ offense struggled to break through the Panther defensive line with only two shots on goal.
Those offerings were blocked by FHS keepers Greg Dean and Eli Thrush.
When all was said and done, nine different Panther players managed to find the back of the net.
Gage Wilson led FHS with a hat trick plus two (five goals).
A total of eight Panthers tallied assists.
The Panthers improved to 2-0 with Saturday’s 2-1 victory over Benjamin Logan.
No details of that contest were available at press time.
