Several Marysville High School cross-country runners competed in Saturday’s Nike Cross-Country Regional in Terra Haute, Ind. The postseason competition consisted of athletes from across the Midwest and was held on the same course as the NCAA Midwest meet. MHS runners who competed were from left, Jaquelyn Witt, Leanne Eichorn, Katie Krueger, Tristan Karnes, Riley Karnes, Justyn Bernard, Matteo Cauzzi and Nick Irving. Tristan Karnes finished 35th out of 1,219 boys runners. Witt competed against 602 girls and placed 74th. Other local results were Eichorn, 296th, 22:07; and Krueger, 269th, 21:52, girls; and Riley Karnes, 597th, 18:33; Irving, 668th, 18:45; Bernard, 1,095th, 21:43; and Cauzzi, 1,108th, 22:03, boys. There were 1,219 boys and 603 girls runners.
