Fourth-year gymnasts were recognized Wednesday evening when Marysville High School hosted a quad meet.
Lady Monarch seniors Hannah Bates, Hannah Scheiderer and Jenny McKillen were honored.
Also competing during the meet was Fairbanks senior Bayleigh Miller.
Upper Arlington won the competition with a score of 132.6.
Olentangy was the runner-up with 129.55, followed by MHS-125.9 and Grove City-116.15.
Results for local seniors were as follows:
-Bates: vault, 7.6, 14th; bars, 6.6, 16th; beam, 7.0, 15th; floor exercise, 6.9, 23rd; and all-around, 28.1, 18th.
-Scheiderer: vault, 7.9, eighth; beam, 6.3, 19th; and floor exercise, 7.65, 16th.
-Miller: vault, 7.3, 17th; beam, 5.6, 23rd; and floor exercise, 5.85, 29th.
“I have been blessed to have coached all three of these girls since before 2012,” said Lady Monarch coach Amber Calvert.
McKillen was not able to compete in the meet.
Brianna Watkins was Marysville’s top finisher.
She was first in all-around with a score of 34.1.
Watkins placed first in the bars (8.75) and beam (8.9) and fifth on the vault (8.1).
Piper Kidd took fifth place in the beam with a score of 8.35.
The Lady Monarchs’ overall record stands at 3-4.
