MHS netters lose to Berlin
Marysville’s varsity girls tennis squad dropped a 4-1 verdict to Olentangy Berlin on Wednesday.
The lone MHS victory came at second doubles.
Alyssa Scott and Molly Armstrong defeated Agochiya and Eisenhower 7-6(3), 6-0.
Other match results were as follows:
Singles
-Franz (O) defeated Hanna Hogan (M) 6-0, 6-0;
-Emanuel (O) topped Blair Fairchild (M) 6-2, 6-1;
-Ponna (O) beat Mallory Huffman (M) 6-1, 6-1.
Doubles
-Farris-Chakilam (O) defeated Krista O’Shelski-Caitlee Hill (M) 6-2, 7-5.
NU golfers drop matches
North Union’s boys golf squad dropped two matches earlier this week.
The Wildcats fell to Elgin, 184-194.
Tayden Peck turned in the low score for NU with a 46.
Zach Vernon shot the same score when the Wildcats dropped a 162-200 verdict against Indian Lake.
Bunsold spikers top Dempsey
The Bunsold eighth-grade volleyball team beat Delaware Dempsey 25-20, 25-15 on Wednesday.
Aaliyah West tallied eight kills and a trio of blocks for the Lady Monarchs.
Kenleigh Russell added four ace serves.
