Swimmers place second in tri meets

Marysville’s boys and girls varsity swimming teams each placed second during triangular meets on Friday.
Dublin Scioto won the boys meet with 74 points, followed by MHS-54 and Westerville South-41.
Westerville South claimed victory during the girls meet with 93 points.
The Lady Monarchs tallied 60 and Dublin Scioto finished with 22.
MHS’s JV teams won their meets
First-place finishes for Marysville (varsity or JV) were as follows:
Boys
-200 medley relay: 1:48.73 (Aron Moledor, Hank Luther, Ethan Turk, Joey Hazelbaker), varsity;
-50 freestyle: Kye Longbrake, 26.11, JV;
-100 freestyle: Longbrake, 59.90, JV;
-100 backstroke: Hazelbaker, 1:05.12, varsity.
Girls
-50 freestyle: Diane Jimenez, 27.73, JV;
-50 freestyle: Morgan Grawe, 26.65, varsity;
-100 freestyle: Carly Amrine, 1:03.93, JV;
-200 freestyle: 1:48.14 (Molly Gregory, Alekah Daniels, Makayla Seman, Grawe), varsity.
