Triad rolled to a 9-4 verdict over Riverside.
Derek Bails started on the mound for the Cardinals.
He allowed one hit and one run (unearned) during 3 2/3 innings of work. He fanned five and issued a trio of free passes.
Coleman Hauk hurled the final 3 1/3 innings.
He yielded five hits, struck out five and walked five.
The Cardinals rapped seven hits.
Hauck and Ayden Spriggs both had two.
Spriggs and Ryan Gross both drove in two runs.
Triad (9-4 overall and 6-2 in the Ohio Heritage Conference) will host West Jefferson today.

Trevyn Feasel scattered a pair of hits and struck out eight on Thursday.
As a result, North Union clubbed Elgin, 12-0, in five innings.
The Wildcats held a 3-0 lead after three innings.
NU struck for nine runs in the bottom of the fourth en route to the run-rule triumph.
The Cats rapped 12 hits, including two each by Mason Bright, Landon Converse and Evan Hoffer.
The Wildcats (4-8) will play at Bellefontaine today.

Lady Monarchs fall
Olentangy Berlin handed Marysville’s varsity softball squad its first Ohio Capital Conference divisional loss.
The Lady Monarchs fell, 11-10.
In doing so, MHS fell to 11-2 overall and 2-1 in the OCC Cardinal Division.
Berlin (9-6 overall) is 3-0 in the division.
Berlin tallied two runs in the home half of the seventh inning to win the game.
Tareyn Born led MHS with three hits and drove in a pair of runs.
Lexi Williams, Jalynn Young, Ashley Dunn, Hannah Pack and Abby Christian each had two hits.
Dunn drilled a homer and drove in two runs.
Abri Schmutz and Abby Gindlesberger both had one hit.
Abby Christian started in the circle and pitched 2 2/3 innings. She allowed five hits and five earned runs.
Christian fanned five and walked three.
Born pitched four innings. She yielded eight hits and five earned runs.
The Lady Monarchs will host Thomas Worthington today in a makeup game.

The junior Monarchs banged out 12 hits and were led by Ashlynn McAdow with three.
Jordyn Ledley and Sydney Calhoon each notched two hits.
Caitlin Rigel pitched a complete game.
She struck out eight and allowed five hits. She did not walk a batter.

Jackson Dempsey pitched a complete game and earned his second win of the season.
