The Triad girls track and field squad finished second out of 11 teams at the Mechanicsburg Relays.
First-place finishes were turned in by the 400 meter hurdle relay team of Cayla Eaton, Ashtyn Millice, Abbey Overfield and Valerie Gaier (1:17.93); Eaton in the high jump at 4-10; and Ellie Johnson in the pole vault at 8-6.
The 800 sprint medley team consisting of Johnson, Valerie Gaier, Overfield and Eaton was the runner-up with a time of 2:04.44.
The 4×200 relay team finished third in 1:59.90. That foursome consisted of Overfield, Millice, Tabitha Gaier and Shalyn Smiles.
-Fourth-place finishers included the 4×100 relay team of Olivia Hall, Valerie Gaier, Tabitha Gaier and Eaton (57.89); and the 4×400 relay team of T. Gaier, Overfield, Millice and Smiles (4:38.87).
Mia LeMay was fifth in the shot put with a heave of 29-4.50.
Triad’s boys placed seventh out of 11 teams.
Tyler Gross won the discus (136-7) and finished third in the shot put (39-1.75).
Mason Harper was third in the long jump (18-0).
The 800 meter sprint medley team of Mason Harper, Teion Stamman, Logan Harper and Joe Ferguson was third (1:47.76).
The team of Ferguson, Logan Harper, Jacob Haser and Wyatt Robison placed fourth in the 4×800 relay (9:51.85) and fifth in the 3200 meter distance medley (9:33.30).
