Senior Night was a success for Marysville High School’s wrestlers on Thursday.
The Monarch varsity squad rolled to an easy 65-18 verdict over Central Crossing.
“This was a nice way to send our seniors off as eight of them had the chance to wrestle under the home spotlight one last time,” said MHS head coach Shawn Andrews.
Seniors for the Monarch program who competed on Thursday were Logan Hawn and Aric Bibb (who each wrestled JV), Walker Heard, Blayne Landon, Zach Lowe, Dexter Coffey, Logan Painter and Ethan Smegal.
Injured fourth-year athletes who were also recognized included Tyler Connolly, Jaimeson Bigler and Joey Robinson.
“Central Crossing is a program that is in a bit of a rebuilding phase, but there were plenty of positives to take from our win,” said the Monarch coach. “Every one of our wins, both varsity and JV, came with bonus points, which is something we have preached all season.”
