Starting with a run in the first inning, Kenton Ridge kept up a strong offense as the Cougars bested North Union 13-0 on Tuesday in Central Buckeye Conference baseball action.

North Union head coach Nick Blakeley knew it would take a strong effort from his team to defeat Kenton Ridge, which showed why it is among the top Division II teams in Ohio.
“They are a really good team,” Blakeley said. “They make you do everything right and if you don’t they will take advantage of that.”
With six games left on the schedule, North Union is trying to finish with an above .500 record for the first time since 2019.
“We are wanting to continue to grow and get better,” Blakeley said. “I think we have the potential to have success at tournament time.”
